The Patrol Police say that an unprecedented number of road accidents due to drunk driving are being recorded in Ukraine.

Direct speech: "Unfortunately, last year we had an anti-record... 151,000 cases of drunken driving were registered. In the first four months of this year, we have unprecedented statistics again - almost 50 thousand cases of driving under the influence have already been recorded.
This is one of the most serious violations of the Administrative Code... The responsibility is serious. The courts make decisions to deprive people of their driving privileges and impose high fines.
Details: According to Biloshytskyi, more cases of drunken driving have been recorded this year than in the same period last year.
Speaking about the reasons for the increase in drunken driving, the deputy head of the patrol police said: "In fact, there are several aspects that can influence this. Both the overall situation (in the country) and certain personal moments. It is also necessary to say that police control over this type of offense has increased."
Biloshitsky also reminded that the issue of legislative regulation of the so-called sobriety checkpoints, i.e., the sudden stop of a car to test the driver for intoxication, is currently being considered.
